Newstar Clinic (hereinafter referred to as 'the Clinic') places great importance on the protection of your personal information and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act.

The Clinic collects only the minimum personal information necessary for service use during online registration and reservation. Essential information for medical treatment is collected through medical card creation without separate consent according to medical law. For additional services (advertising) other than medical treatment, a separate consent form must be completed, and there is no disadvantage in treatment even if the consent form is not completed.

Visit information, disease information, prescription information, medical information

2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

  • Medical Information: Providing medical services for diagnosis and treatment, billing, payment, and refund services
  • Reservation Information: Used for identity verification procedures for appointment booking and inquiry services
  • Guidance on clinic news, disease information through text and SNS, and surveys
  • Other: Used for creating visitor analysis data for new service development
  • Basic data for external laboratory test requests

3. Retention and Use Period, Destruction Procedure and Method

[Retention and Use Period]

  • The Clinic retains collected customer personal information only for the legally required period of 5 years for patient registry and 10 years for medical records, after which it is deleted from the database. However, if credit/debt relationships remain, retention continues until settlement

  • However, even after the collection purpose or purpose of provision is achieved, personal information may be retained if there is a need to preserve it according to the Commercial Act or other laws

[Destruction Procedure and Method]

  • Destruction Procedure: Immediate destruction by destruction method after legal retention period
  • Destruction Method: Personal information stored in electronic file format is deleted using technical methods that prevent record reproduction, and personal information printed on paper is destroyed by shredding or incineration
  • Upon Termination of Customer Management Service Consignment: The consignee permanently destroys related files and DB data within 2 weeks

4. Installation/Operation of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices and Refusal

In addition to the above personal information, the service recognizes visitors through cookies, pixel tags or web beacons, and IP addresses for the following purposes. By using the Clinic website and services, you are deemed to consent to the use of such technologies. To obtain consent from legal representatives, the Clinic collects minimum information such as the legal representative's name and contact information from minors, and obtains legal representative consent according to the methods specified in this privacy policy.

Legal representatives of minors may request to view, correct, and delete the minor's personal information. To view, correct, or delete a minor's personal information, click on 'Edit Member Information', go through the legal representative verification process, and then the legal representative can directly view, correct, or delete the minor's personal information, or contact the Privacy Officer in writing, by phone, or by fax for necessary action.

※ Personal information required to be retained by law cannot be modified or deleted within the retention period even upon request.

6. How to Withdraw Consent

You may withdraw your consent to the collection, use, and provision of optional personal information at any time during online reservation. If you contact the Privacy Officer in writing, by phone, or by fax, we will take necessary measures such as destroying your personal information without delay.

7. Provision and Sharing of Personal Information

The Clinic does not use your personal information beyond the scope notified in the purpose of collection and use, nor provide it to others or other companies/organizations, except with your consent or as required by relevant laws and regulations.

  • - Submission of medical records for medical expense claims to the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service under the National Health Insurance Act
  • - Provision in a form that does not identify specific individuals when necessary for statistical compilation or academic research
  • - Submission when requested by investigative agencies according to legally prescribed procedures and methods

The Clinic consigns personal information for internet reservation and text notification services as follows, and stipulates necessary matters to ensure safe management of personal information during consignment contracts according to relevant laws.

Additionally, as administrative measures to protect users' personal information, the Clinic has established procedures necessary for access and management of users' personal information, limits personnel handling users' personal information to a minimum, and provides ongoing security training. We also designate users of systems that process personal information and assign user passwords that are regularly renewed.

11. Obligation to Notify Policy Changes

This privacy policy was established on December 1, 2025. When there are additions, deletions, or modifications to the content due to changes in laws, policies, or security technology, we will notify the reasons and details of changes through the Clinic website at least 7 days before the implementation of the revised privacy policy.
